Jack Petty
March 22, 1949  -  July 5, 2026

We deeply mourn the passing of our beloved friend, founder, player, coach, director, treasurer, and spreadsheet wizard Jack Petty.

To say that Jack was instrumental in getting the CHAVC juniors program up and running in 2003 is an understatement. His influence ran through every nut and bolt of CHAVC's policies and structure. He was wholeheartedly committed to doing what was best for the youth in our club, whether that was providing financial aid, ensuring they could play multiple sports, or instituting protective policies. His thorough understanding of every aspect of the business kept things running efficiently and his good nature made him a joy to work with. He was always the smartest guy in the room, but very humble and a great listener.

Jack's integrity never faltered, nor did his cheerful outlook. He skillfully steered us through 22 years of growth and many unforeseen changes in the youth sports industry. His gentleness and rock-solid character imbued CHAVC with a family-oriented vibe that continues to this day.

We are all better for having known Jack and will miss him greatly. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family: his wife Sally, daughter Diana, son-in-law Jeremy, and grandchildren Josephine and Nathaniel. Jack's legacy will continue at CHAVC.
