Financial Aid

Apply for need-based aid

general Information

Club volleyball is expensive due to the cost of practice space, coach pay and travel, memberships, tournament registrations, family travel, etc. We understand that not all families can afford the full cost of our travel programs, and we want to help.

In order to fulfill our mission of making the sport of volleyball as accessible as possible in the Orange/Durham/Alamance/Chatham County areas, CHAVC offers a small number of need-based grants for families who find it difficult to cover team fees. These fees are provided by our generous donors and volunteer staff.

Process:

Our financial aid process includes an online application and review process based on family income as well as other factors. Applications MUST be submitted prior to tryouts so that our pool of funds is not already fully allocated to other recipients.  With a timely submission of your application, your offer will include the award you have been granted. Aid is processed and awarded discreetly by our Financial Aid Committee.

Expectations:

  • All financial aid recipients are required to attend all practices and all tournaments (unless there is an illness or emergency).
  • Recipients and their families must also abide by all club rules and policies, including staying up to date with payment plans. Failure to do so will result in loss of the financial aid.

All of our families, including those receiving financial aid, are welcome to give back to the club by volunteering on our social and apparel committees.
